Built for the decision before the decision.

Advisor Growth Lab

Advisor Growth Lab is an independent consultancy helping experienced financial advisors make the right connections for a transition.

The right transition starts with the right fit.

Most advisors enter a transition conversation through a recruiter, a headline offer, or a firm that already knows what it wants to sell. We work from the other direction.

We begin with the practice you have built: your clients, team, economics, growth plans, and the kind of business you want to own. Then we help you understand which firms and business models deserve a closer look.

Sometimes the right next step is an introduction. Sometimes it is more research, better timing, or staying where you are. Our job is to help you make the right connections when a transition makes sense, not to force every conversation toward a move.

The people behind Advisor Growth Lab.

You should know who is helping you evaluate one of the most consequential decisions in your business.

Chris Evans, Advisor Growth Lab

Chris Evans

Chris works directly with experienced advisors who are considering whether their current firm and business model still fit the practice they want to build. He helps organize the decision around clients, economics, team, growth, and timing before any introduction is made.

His role is to make the transition process easier to understand, surface the tradeoffs that matter, and connect advisors with the right people when another model deserves serious consideration.

Johnny Nel

Johnny works alongside Chris to help advisors compare potential partners and understand how different operating models would support their clients, team, and long-term plans.

He keeps the conversation focused on practical fit rather than the headline recruiting package, helping advisors make introductions with better context and clearer expectations.

Independent in the questions we ask.

Advisor Growth Lab is compensated by partner firms when an introduction becomes a placement. We disclose that relationship because advisors deserve to understand how everyone in the process is paid.

That compensation does not change the first question: is a transition actually the right move for the advisor, the clients, and the practice?

You do not need to know whether you want to move.

You only need to know which questions are worth answering.
